Managing IBS | Dr Sarina Pasricha

Listen Now

In Episode #68, I sat down with gastroenterologist Dr Sarina Pasricha to break down irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), an incredibly common condition that approximately 10–20% of adults suffer from.

Specifically, we covered the different types of IBS, how they present clinically, and how they’re diagnosed. Dr Pasricha also discussed the difference between healing and managing symptoms and shared her evidence-based approach for reducing IBS symptoms and the results she’s seen clinically. Of course, we talk about the low FODMAP diet, how it’s used incorrectly, and why it’s not Dr Pasricha’s first line of treatment for patients with IBS.
