Plant Proof™ was inspired by Simon’s personal experience living a plant-based lifestyle. Prior to transitioning from animal foods to a plant-based diet he shared many common fears among men, and many women, in this position: “Am I going to lose muscle?”,“Will I gain fat and feel bloated?”, “What about my iron?”, “Will I get enough protein?”. By undertaking a Masters in Nutrition, pouring over countless research articles and books, talking to others that are happily leading a plant-based lifestyle, and recording countless hours of podcasts, Simon has been able to answer all of those questions and more.
Am I going to lose muscle? Will I gain fat and feel bloated? What about my iron? Will I get enough protein?
Being frequently questioned about his diet and what foods he does and does not eat to stay healthy inside and out, Simon decided to set up Plant Proof as a central source of ‘easy to apply’ information for anyone.
On the Plant Proof blog, you will find an ongoing evolution of work addressing different topics ranging from nutrition to sustainability which will be relevant to people with different health and performance goals. At its core, each post will aim to summarise complex and sometimes confusing nutritional information in a simple way. Simon will interpret complex information and relay it in an easy to digest and implement manner so you understand how best to fuel YOUR body with plants and create an environment where all of your precious organs can thrive. Plant Proof will delve deep into the topic of chronic diseases and their link to dietary patterns, compare the nutritional value of common foods and debunk many myths. Simon will also unearth the complex interplay between eating patterns and sustainability, with the goal of inspiring a wave of change towards a more compassionate, conscious and environmentally-friendly lifestyle.
In addition, every week you will find a new Podcast episode where Simon sits down with a diverse range of public figures from doctors to athletes who are all united by a shared passion for plant-based lifestyle. They share interesting conversations ranging in topics from nutrition, to sustainability and lifestyle, so be sure you tune in.
These days, Simon is also working on writing a book summarising all the nutritional knowledge and experience he has gained in a palatable and easy to understand format. With all proceeds being donated to charity, Simon’s goal is to help bring genuine, agenda-free nutritional information to people looking to improve their health and quality of life. The book will be published globally by Penguin Random House early 2021, so keep an eye out.
